What is Mouth Rehab Centre?
Mouth Rehab Centre is a national network of experienced, AHPRA-registered dentists with a particular focus on full mouth rehabilitation: typically a combination of crowns, bridges, dentures and, where clinically appropriate, dental implants.
Our partner clinics are located across Australia in most major cities. We match you with a clinician based on your location and your individual clinical needs, whether that’s a single implant, veneers, or a complete set of new teeth.
Are your dentists registered?
Yes. Every partner dentist in our network holds current AHPRA registration and is bound by the Dental Board of Australia’s professional standards.
You can verify any practitioner’s registration at any time using the public register on the AHPRA website.
How do you choose which dentist I see?
Two things guide the match: where you live, and the type of care you need. With partner clinics across WA, NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and TAS, we connect you with an experienced dentist as close to home as possible, one whose day-to-day work aligns with the treatment you’re considering.
Does it cost anything to speak with you?
No. Your first phone consultation with a Patient Support Coordinator is obligation-free and creates no commitment. It’s simply a conversation to understand your situation and explain how the process works; coordinators don’t give medical advice, and clinical questions are answered by your partner dentist at your consultation. You decide if and when to take the next step.

How do full arch dental implants work?
Full arch dental implants involve the surgical placement of four or more implants into the jawbone, positioned to support and stabilise a full set of replacement teeth. A custom-made dental prosthesis is then attached to the implants.
Suitability depends on individual factors including oral health, bone volume and medical history, which is why a comprehensive clinical assessment is always required first.
How long do dental implants last?
Dental implants can be a long-term option for some patients, but no fixed lifespan can be guaranteed. Longevity depends on factors such as your oral hygiene, ongoing professional care and your individual circumstances, including general health and habits like smoking.
Your dentist will explain what you can do to support your treatment over the long term, including a tailored care and review routine.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
It depends on your oral health, the amount of bone available to support an implant, and your medical history. A comprehensive assessment, including a detailed 3D CBCT scan where clinically appropriate, is the only way to determine suitability.
If implants aren’t right for you, your dentist will discuss alternatives such as bridges or dentures, so you still have a clear path forward.
Why consider implants over dentures or bridges?
Because implants are placed in the jawbone, they may offer a level of stability and support for oral function that some patients find beneficial. That said, every option has advantages and trade-offs, and what suits one person may not suit another.
Suitability varies with individual circumstances, so your dentist will talk through the pros and cons of each option before you decide anything.
Is treatment painful?
Procedures are performed with appropriate anaesthesia, and your anaesthetic and sedation options are discussed with you well in advance, so you know exactly what to expect.
Some post-operative discomfort is common and is usually manageable with medication. Your clinician will explain how discomfort is typically managed at each stage of your treatment.
Important: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner. Suitability for any treatment can only be determined after a comprehensive clinical assessment.

Is the consultation really free? What’s the catch?
There’s no catch. Our philosophy is that knowing where you stand shouldn’t come with a bill. Eligible new patients who book through MRC and attend their consultation at a participating partner clinic receive the Dental Access Package free: a complimentary face-to-face consultation with a patient-first partner dentist, a comprehensive 3D CBCT scan where clinically appropriate, and a full custom-made written treatment plan with fixed pricing. The $430 value reflects the standard fees for these services when purchased separately.
A few conditions apply: it’s limited to one package per patient, no purchase is required, there’s no obligation to proceed with treatment, and the package isn’t redeemable for cash. How much do dental implants cost?
Our partners offer a range of options tailored to your needs. As a general guide:
- Single dental implants from $5,000 per tooth
- Implant-retained removable dentures from $15,000 per arch
- Full arch dental implants from $25,000 per arch
Prices are indicative only and vary with individual clinical needs. A comprehensive consultation is required before an accurate, itemised quote can be provided, and final costs are confirmed in a written treatment plan before treatment begins.
Do you accept health funds?
Yes. Partner clinics accept all major Australian health funds, and some are preferred providers for specific funds. Once you have your itemised written quote, your fund can confirm exactly which rebates apply to your treatment and level of cover.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Payment plans are available through third-party providers for eligible patients, which can help spread the cost of treatment over time. Eligibility criteria and provider terms apply, and approval is determined by the provider rather than by MRC.

Can I use my superannuation?
In limited circumstances, yes, but early access to superannuation for dental treatment is strictly regulated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and is only available on compassionate grounds to people who meet the ATO’s specific eligibility criteria. It’s intended as a last resort, after other options (savings, payment plans, finance and private health insurance) have been considered, and accessing your super early can significantly reduce your retirement savings.

Recovery & aftercare

What healing typically involves, and the support you can expect once treatment is complete.
What does aftercare look like?
Some swelling or discomfort in the first few days is common and can usually be managed with medication. A soft-food diet is recommended initially, and good oral hygiene is essential to support healing.
Your dentist schedules review appointments to monitor progress, and you’ll receive clear written care instructions. Avoiding smoking and following your clinician’s guidance supports the best possible healing.
How long is recovery?
Recovery varies from person to person and depends on the procedure performed, so there’s no universal timeline. Your treating clinician will give you a personalised recovery timeline as part of your treatment plan, and your review appointments help track progress against it.
What if something doesn’t feel right afterwards?
Contact your treating clinic promptly. Don’t wait for your next scheduled visit. Review appointments are a built-in part of your treatment plan, and your clinic will advise you on the right next steps if anything needs attention.
